Danny moved from his hometown of Bedford, England to Cairns, Australia in 2007 where he started his Carpentry apprenticeship. During his apprenticeship he was exposed to a variety of work including new builds, maintenance and renovations, giving him a broad knowledge of the trade. He qualified in 2011 with his certification in Carpentry.
Fast forward to 2013, Danny moved to Vancouver, Canada. He jumped straight into the construction industry, starting in a framing position but quickly moving into renovations where he really found his niche. After gathering as much knowledge as he could as an employee he soon made the move to become self employed as DJT Carpentry in 2016. After taking the reins as a subcontractor on various upscale renovations, Danny found a new passion for Project Management, paving the way to his next career move, as a contractor.
With a focus on interior renovations, Dan James Construction was founded in 2018. Danny’s knowledge of the trades and his passion for the finished product really shows in the work they do. He prides himself on his customer service as well as maintaining a high quality of workmanship from himself and everyone he works with. He prides himself on maintaining transparency between himself and his clients to ensure a great relationship with them from start to finish. A happy client is the best referral!
