Van Doren has come a long way since starting her culinary worked as a pastry chef, honing her expertise at a number of Canadian restaurants including the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver and the noted Sooke Harbour House on Vancouver Island. It was at the latter location that she gained her passion for wine and eventually transitioned to the front of the house and became a Sommelier. Working in various positions in the wine industry, she has developed extensive knowledge in wine and business development. Currently she juggles a few position as the Sommelier, wine consultant and the ownership of restaurant and wine business to promote and gain awareness of the sustainable business relationship of farm to table and farm to bottle.
